Solitary Journey by Linda Snider Ward

Solitary Journey is an 8" x 10" acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas. I've recently come back to acrylics which are quick & dry fast. Teaching full time has taken its toll on me this year. I'm looking forward to being in my studio full time during semester break and most of the summer! For those of you in and around north Louisiana, the Blend of the Bayou is today, a fundraiser for the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, a place where artists display and sell their works--lots of food, fun, & music, Louisiana style!

"Don't Forget Me" by Oklahoma Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

"Don't Forget Me"

There are so many things that happen in the world that sometimes I just want to run away and hide, and wonder "Where is God? Why is this allowed to happen?" And I wonder when times get rough- "Lord, have you forgotten me?" Actually, it's the other way around, I've forgotten to remember the Lord, that he is ever present, to place my trust that what will be, will be. This 24"x18"x1.5 gallery wrap acrylic painting expresses the worry, running away, all the while praying to be remembered, not forgotten using the lovely but delicate like us forget-me-not flower. I feel this one very powerfully and intimately. Do you?
