Secretariat Book Features Thomas Allen Pauly Painting

Waiting for Secretariat painting by Thomas Allen Pauly featured in Secretariat's Meadow book.

Secretariat’s Meadow – The Land, The Family, The Legend by Kate Chenery Tweedy & Leeanne Ladin featured my oil painting titled Waiting for Secretariat. The original oil painting is in the collection of Secretariat's owner Penny Chenery. I was commissioned by Arlington Park Racetrack to portray her racing silks and the portrait was presented to Ms. Chenery as their inaugural Woman in Racing award.

I was most honored when Kate Chenery Tweedy (Penny's daughter) asked if she could feature the portrait in her book about Secretariat and her family. It is a wonderful book and was released a month before the very successful Secretariat movie debut. Congratulations to all...
